Florlenzia

BIOGRAPHY
Destined for global superstardom, Florlenzia currently based in Panama is a singer, songwriter, model, fashion designer and entrepreneur. Female empowerment is the main theme of her music expressed through joys and realities of love, relationships and sexuality.

“…The message I’d love to convey is one of strong, black female independence. A message that says women regardless of color can do anything they put their minds to…we are capable of loving, being loved and enjoying life! Spirituality plays a huge part in having this type of balance in life and health.”

The new face of Afro Latin Music; Florlenzia was born Florenz Alerte, 1992, in Caracas, Venezuela. She and her siblings began singing at an early age. She attended different churches with her parents and attended various Christian schools and camps.

Florenz dedicated her voice to church services and joined a local youth group at age 9. She auditioned in various dancing and singing competitions. At age 18, she joined an all female group, “Adriel” as mezzo soprano (voice) and lead singer.

She discovered other styles of music and began to study, practice and review the songs of her sisters in harmony; success-
ful pop female artists. Artists including but not limited to Mariah Carey, (“she represents sensuality”), Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Destiny’s Child, Etta James and Christina Aguilera are among the inspiration for who Florlenzia is today. “R & B and Gospel….I love them both…also love non-commercial throw back blues.”

After her time with Adriel she decided to take a new direction in her life and traveled to Panama where her music and style were quickly yet seamlessly embraced. She joined the trio “Douce Harmonie” as lead singer. She became well known in Panama City with the release of (her) song entitled “Necesitó de ti” (Needed you) and years later she participated as a
vocalist on the album of writer Ignacio Salvatierra entitled “Pasión Latina” (Latin Passion). She performed two songs “Notas de amor” and “Embrujos”, available on YouTube.

Florlenzia’s career continues to grow and expand internationally. A LatinX star in the making, she is inspired by the careers of Jennifer Hudson, Celine Dion, Beyoncé (“she’s black empowerment”), Etta James, and Stevie Wonder. “…On the pop side, Demi Lovato and Jennifer Lopez…and for gospel, Kirk Franklin, Mary Mary & Tamela Mann…”

Music Promotion Erich Mrak Girls

Toronto-based pop/hip hop artist Erich Mrak is constantly experimenting with new, emotive ways to express his inner self to music. Having released 8 singles to date and several official music videos, Erich will release new single “Girls” on June 23, 2020. “Girls”, an upbeat departure for Mrak, is the first single from upcoming full-length album “Glimpse”.

“Girls” was one of the last songs we produced for “Glimpse”, and the initial production of the song started with myself, and Phil playing melodies on an upright piano on the live floor.

Initially “Girls” was titled “Boys” and eantered around the dynamic of a close female friend of mine going through heartbreak. While the context of “Girls” centres around a recent heartbreak, the core message of the song lies in the supportive dynamic friendship plays in encouraging someone they can do better. – Erich Mrak

“Girls” was influenced by artists like Post Malone, Tame Impala and The 1975, with it’s guitar heavy production, processed vocals and lyrics derived from interpersonal relations.

“Girls” was recorded at Revolution Recording, Toronto. Initial production, and writing for “the track began in July, 2019 during a heatwave midway through a three day session. It was almost left unfinished due to it being too upbeat in contrast to earlier material recorded between 2017 – 2019. The revisions of “Girls” led to a dramatic shift towards a more pop oriented sound on “Glimpse”.

“Girls” is out today on all platforms.

Artist Biography:
Beginning to write lyrics at the age of 7, and recording his first full song at 13, Erich has continued to practice, and refine his sound since an early age. Born in Ottawa, based in
Toronto since 2013, Erichʼs influences come from where heʼs been, and where he currently is. Over production that is made up of two main genreʼs, pop, and hip-hop, Erich
displays a combination of the two with a genuine delivery, penning songs that are relatable, with message.

Recently amassing over 400,000 streams collectively on various singles, and completing his album, “Glimpse”, Erich shows no signs of slowing down. Outside of the album, Erich’s most recent achievements lie in the practice of piano since the start of the quarantine. Erich has been recording live performance covers in his living room, intending to release them between single releases over the next few months.

Use Zoom To Host Your Own Virtual Party

Pretty much every DJ has taken up to live streaming (even the ones that said they wouldn’t, we see you) and with that, a lot of questions have come about. A frequent question is what software should I use to broadcast my DJ stream? There are many applications out there and most of them have a niche that makes them great.

Zoom gives you the capability to create your own virtual room. You can invite patrons to your room and they can engage with you via the integrated chat room. You can have up to 10,000 attendees in your virtual room and even more via Facebook Live and Youtube Streaming, setting you up for some pretty big online stages. Another benefit is that if you are not streaming to Facebook Live or Youtube then you can fearlessly play whatever you want in your virtual room.

PayPal is seamlessly integrated into Zoom which gives you the opportunity to either create a virtual party with a “cover charge” or receive donations in the form of online tips (the latter seems to be the preferred way). Easily set up polls for your participants on which genre the next party should be. If someone misses the show you can make it available for them on demand so people can experience your event at their most convenient time.

Check out the video below to learn more about Zoom and think outside of the box to make it work for you. Zoom has a free membership that allows up to 40 minutes streaming a day to up to 100 participants. Pro memberships start at $40/month and are dependent on how many participants you want to have access to your event.
